What we collect

Your account email and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text); the ideas, preferences, and edits you enter while creating a book; the manuscripts, character designs, and illustrations generated for your books; and payment records from Stripe (we don't see or store your card details directly).

How it's used

To run the service: generating your books, remembering your progress, charging credits for what you use, and providing support. We don't sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

To actually generate a book, the content of your requests (your idea, chosen style, manuscript text, character descriptions, and reference images) is sent to the AI providers that do the writing and illustration: Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), and OpenAI (for image moderation and manual repairs). Every generated image is also checked by OpenAI's content moderation before it's ever shown to you. Payments are handled by Stripe. Generated images and exported files are stored with Cloudflare R2. None of these providers get access to your account credentials.

Content moderation

Every image InkABook generates is automatically checked for inappropriate content before it's shown or saved. This applies to every image regardless of how it was produced, and exists specifically because this product is built around children's books.

Children's privacy

InkABook accounts are for adults (or created with a parent/guardian's involvement). The product is used to make books, including books featuring children as characters, but the account holder is expected to be an adult. We don't knowingly collect account information directly from children.

Your choices

You can delete any book permanently from My Books at any time, this removes the manuscript, illustrations, and related files. You can contact support to request deletion of your account and associated data.
